Why Headbands Are Not Just For Kids

Romantic Couture: Regal Headbands & Flower Crowns

Romantic crowns where one
of the highlights of the Valentino’s couture fashion shows this year.

At the beginning of the year Valentino showcased their Spring
couture collection where we saw the brand incorporating flowers into the
overall look of their romantic themed collection which took influences from Shakespeare
quotes and Russian literature while focusing on painter Marc Chagall’s Russian
roots by using traditional silhouette and patterns, and also including plaits
and flowers which has created some beautiful hairstyles and hair accessorize on
the runway.

Fast forward to this July and Valentino is continuing with the
romantic theme and have used golden crowns to adorn the heads of their models
almost turning them into Roman Gods. Yet again the designers, Maria Grazia
Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, have created beautiful couture dresses inspired
by the home land of the brand, Italy, nowhere else in the world could of been a
more romantic source of inspiration than Rome.

Even Elie Saab this year
included headbands in his Fall 2015 Couture collection which also took a romantic
look at fashion and had the models in gold headdresses that were almost like
crowns which complimented the regal princess feel of much of the collection.
