Liverpool FC will be suffering some losses this year, but plan on bringing in some major upgrades so who’s leaving and who’s coming in? Let’s talk about a perfect summer for the Reds.
Who’s Leaving Liverpool FC This Summer?
Sadio Mané is one of the big names leaving Liverpool this upcoming transfer window, someone who was Juergen Klopp’s first big signing and who has been integral to the success of Liverpool and Klopp. Mane scoring 90 goals in 196 games will go down as a legend and will be very hard to replace. He is set to join Bayern Munich at the start of the new season.
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain has been someone who has not always had the chances he’s maybe deserved, but he’s still come up with important goals for Liverpool including an absolute banger against Manchester City in the champions league. So it feels like the right time for him to move on, a move to a West Ham or a Leicester seems likely to be on the cards for the former Arsenal man. There are talks about a move to Aston Villa, but only time will tell on that one.
Is Paolo Naldini moving on? A cult hero of the club, a man who was weirdly integral to Liverpool getting champions league football last year with good performances in the league. Liverpool will demand 15 million for Naldini which some might see as extortionate but in the current market could be a steal for a club like Bournemouth. Wherever he goes the memories of his heroic performances last season will follow.
Takumi Minamino and Neco Williams are the final two who we will talk about, two players who have found success both in and out of Liverpool, with Taki being integral to Liverpool lifting two domestic cups and Neco Williams lifting the championship trophy with Fulham. Liverpool will be able to get good prices for both players and wherever they end up they will be a success.
And Who’s Coming To Liverpool FC?
So we’ve talked about whos leaving but let’s talk about who can be joining Liverpool. There is much speculation about who Liverpool might be buying and winning two domestic cups and getting to a champions league final will help them attract top talent.
Liverpool FC has long been admirers of Darwin Nunez and has seen him as a long-term replacement for Sadio Mane. He has been signed for a record £85m from his former club of Benfica. Fabio Carvalho is another exciting signing during this summer transfer window who is on his way to the Reds from Fulham. Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen is a young prospect that should be announced soon as a new young defender for the team.
Meanwhile, Jay Spearing is looking like a possibility for Liverpool FC. They want to bring the former Red back into the fold to help train new prospects at their academy, specifically their Under-23s side. Rumors have been circulating that Porto midfielder Vitinha could also be making his way to Anfield.
This seems to be an exciting time to be a Liverpool FC fan, What a great summer for the Reds.
